Registration under Section 12AA & 80G of the Income Tax Act

An NGO which gets registered under Section 12A of Income Tax Act, 1961, then its income is exempted.

Further, if an organization is registered under section 80-G of Income Tax Act, 1961 then the donors of that NGO can claim exemption from income tax.

Drug License

As per the provisions of Drugs & Cosmetics Act, 1940, which is applicable to whole of India, Licensing is mandatory to do business in Drugs & Cosmetics in India.

PAN & TAN Registration

A Permanent Account Number (PAN) is a ten-character alphanumeric identifier, issued in the form of a laminated “PAN card”, by the Indian Income Tax Department, to any “person” who applies for it.

PAN is an electronic system through which, all tax related information for a person/company is recorded against a single PAN number.

PAN Card is issued to individuals, companies, non-resident Indians or anyone who pays taxes in India.

In India, a Tax Deduction and Collection Account Number (TAN) is a 10 digit number issued to persons who are required to deduct or collect tax on payments made by them under the Indian Income Tax Act, 1961.

Failure to apply for TAN may attract a penalty. TDS Returns and Payments will not be received by the Banks if TAN is not quoted.
